The new certification program was announced during the Giant Screen Cinema Association’s International Conference. At 89 feet wide and 66 feet tall, the Aquarium’s IMAX® 3D Theater has one whale of a screen that almost doubles the size requirements needed to earn the title as Chattanooga’s only Certified Giant Screen. When scheduling your visit or IMAX film time, remember Chattanooga is in the Eastern Time Zone. All exhibit galleries are fully accessible, and a limited number of wheelchairs are available for a fee. Strollers are permitted in the Aquarium. For your safety, strollers and crocs (or similar soft shoes) are not allowed on escalators; however, elevators are available in all buildings.
