Make a Reservation

Call Group Reservations directly at 423-265-0698 or 800-262-0695 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. Reservations will be accepted up to 10 working days prior to your visit. Your confirmation packet and educational materials will be mailed or emailed to you promptly.

Teachers who have reserved a class field trip may call for a free planning pass to tour the facility. For passes, please call 423-785-4050, at least 2 days in advance. Teachers who want to visit as a group to learn what the Aquarium has to offer, may take advantage of our teacher orientations below.

New Chaperone Policy: The Aquarium requires one chaperone for every 5 students in Pre-K through 2nd grade. One chaperone for every 10 students is required for 3rd through 12th grade.  Your group will receive complimentary admission for the required number of chaperones (for the Aquarium and IMAX only). Teachers are considered chaperones. Additional adults are encouraged to make advance reservations by calling 800-262-0695. Tickets for additional adults may also be purchased on the day of visit, but please note that IMAX seating is limited.

Complimentary Admission Policy: Students in grades pre-K through 12 and Headstart on free or reduced lunch receive complimentary admission to the Aquarium and IMAX from September through March. Ask your reservationist for more details.

For a more enjoyable experience, we recommend scheduling your Aquarium visit during the months of September through March. April and May are busy months with high numbers of school groups and general admission visitors.
