Giant Snake-Necked Turtle
Chelodina expansa ON EXHIBIT: Turtle Gallery in River Journey

FUN FACTS
Snake-necked turtles have very long necks that aid them when they grab prey. These turtles cannot pull their necks into their shell; instead they tuck them to one side or the other. The giant snake-necked turtle is the largest of the many species of side-neck turtles that inhabit Australia.
